As we already reported, Malta will host the European Championship of water polo team born in 1996-1997 on 8-15 September. The Georgian team will also participate.

The apprentices of Serbian Jovan Popovich won the right to play, after winning the tournament of this year in Tbilisi on May, in which they won over Moldova (16:6), Slovakia (13:5) and Holland (10:9), they played draw against Germany (7:7) and won the first place in the group.

By the way, Georgian water polo players will play against German in the final round, and besides them Georgia will have Italy and Hungary as an opponent. Georgia will play against Germany on 8 September, against Hungary on 9 September and against Italy on 10 September.

Under the tournament format, the winners of the group will go directly into the quarter – finals, and the left second and third places will continue playing to win the remaining pass.

Georgia is preparing for the upcoming tournament in Tbilisi, Georgia, and at the end of the month will go to Montenegro to conduct training meetings and test matches, and from there they will travel to Malta.
