Today Vladimir Weiss, head coach of the Georgia national team, met journalists at hotel Hualing. According to the Slovak specialist, the Georgia national team held two different good games in October but unfortunately, they lost to Ireland.

The coach also commented on Jaba Kankava who could not help the team in the last matches. Weiss also noted that he is paying attention to the national championship.

“I think it was two different matches which we held quite well. We were not lucky against Ireland. In spite of this, we showed good quality. The match against Wales was the best. There are young players on the team. For example, Okriashvili, Jigauri, Kakabadze, Gvilia, Ananidze and the others.

I phoned him yesterday. He is practicing in Reims. Jaba told me he will be ready for Moldova.

Mistakes during free kicks

I know it was our problem in the previous matches. We changed our tactic during free kicks. I personally like zone defense. If the players had fulfilled our instructions correctly, we would have had different result against Austria. I am not saying it is the only one player’s fault. The team plays football and hopefully, we will improve it in the future.

I do not think we are lacking good players in offence. Mchedlidze was not lucky against Wales. Okriashvili, Mchedlidze, Kazaishvili are good players. Hopefully, we will manage to realize moments in the next three matches.

Otar Kakabadze or Ucha Lobzhanidze

Injuries are very common in football. Ucha was in lineup for a long time. Now Kakabadze has a chance and I think he used it. Kakabadze and Gvilia are very talented players. It is good that young players have chance to show themselves in the national team. It is bad that most talented players are forwards and we do not have a big choice in defense. We do not know what to do if we do not have Kashia. Five players have yellow cards and I have to think about it in the upcoming matches.

Jaba Lipartia

We are watching his game and he will be in the extended composition. However, he plays on the position where we have a big competition on the team.

Before playing Moldova

Moldova plays compactly. They were scored a lot of goals in the last matches but it happened because of individual mistakes. We will be favorites against Moldova and the opponent will play on counter offences. They have some good players and I respect all opponents.
