The Georgia Sevens Playing for IX Place
Failure to Wales

The Georgia national rugby union sevens failed to fulfill program minimum at the group tournament of European Grand Prix and on the last day the Georgians will play for IX place.

In the first match Kakha Alania’s team faced Wales and advanced by Irakli Gegenava’s try. However, the Georgians lost 7:19. In the second match Georgia lost to France 0:49.

In the last match of the group stage Georgia won over Romania 24:14 but it was not enough and the Georgians will face Romania for IX place. The match will start at 12:28 Tbilisi time.

Georgia: Zurab Dzneladze, Bakhva Kobakhidze, Aleksi Khutsishvili, Shavleg Makharashvili, Giorgi Shkinini, Niko Aptsiauri, Irakli Gegenava, Bidzina Samkharadze, Dimitri Kalandadze, Saba Shubitidze, Beka Bebiashvili, Lado Miminoshvili.
