Vasil Maisuradze: "I will Refrain from Naming Favorites"

Vasil Maisuradze, head coach of the Georgian U-19 team, is more focused on the match against Welsh national team. He announced about this at the press conference held at Mikheil Meskhi stadium. Head coaches of the teams of Netherlands, Wales and Moldova also attended this press conference and as far as you know these teams were opponents of Georgia in the 11th group of qualifying circle of European Championship 2015. It should be also noted that the head coach of Welsh team could not come to the press conference and Jeff Wood, coach of goalkeepers, replaced him.

Jeff Wood (Wales): “First impressions are very positive. We have really good team and probably such good teams have our opponents. I hope, that the tournament will be very good”.

Vin Van Zvan (Netherlands): “We played friendly matches in September and October. The tournament starts tomorrow, which is very important for us. First of all, I think about the first opponent – the Moldovan team. It is important to hold this game good. There are no favorites in this tournament and everything can happen”.

Yuri Osipenko (Moldova): “Being in Georgian is very pleasant. I am not here for the first time. I feel like I am at home. I am very pleased that we got in a strong group. We will try to show ourselves. We have not come to Georgia as a tourists, we want to show worthy game. I believe in my team”.

Vasil Maisuradze: “My colleagues have said everything and I cannot add anything new. We are focused on the first game, which we have against Wales. So far, we do not think about Netherlands and Moldova. Winning the first game is very important. Sub-group is difficult. I will refrain from naming favorites. Goalkeeper Otar Goshadze is injured and another player will take his place, other players are healthy”.

Georgian U-19 team will held their first match against Wales. This match will start at 14:00 at Mikhiel Meskhi stadium.
