After beating “Vaduz”, “Chikhura” did not return to Georgia. The team continued preparing in Austria and arrived in Switzerland on 16 July. The match showed that “Chikhura” lacked experience. The first match of the second qualifying round turned out unsuccessful for the Georgians.
The hosts attacked from the beginning but the Georgians had the first dangerous moment. At the 8th minute Rati Tsinamdzgvrishvili kicked the ball which touched crossbar. At the 10th minute Sanogo Junior of “Thun” scored goal. The Swiss gained advantage. At the end of the half Enrico Schirinzi scored goal of victory.
The situation was the same in the second half. The Georgians looked very nervous and received 3 yellow cards.
In short, “Thun” deserved this victory but the second match is ahead on 25 July…
