Davit Targamadze stated that negotiations with “Chornomorets” Odesa are under way and soon the Georgian will know where he will continue his career. Targamadze also stated why he left “Illichivets”:

“Yes, I can transfer to “Chornomorets”. It is my wish as well. My agent has already told me about the interest of “Chornomorets”. Three days ago vice-president of “Chornomorets” called me. The negotiations are under way and hopefully, it will finish successfully. If it happens, I will start practicing in “Chornomorets” on January 10.

... Perhaps, I will hold meeting with “Shakhtar” but I wish to practice in “Chornomorets”. I like this club and I will have a chance to play at Europa League.

... Why did I decide to leave “Illichivets”? The main reason is that I do not want to be satisfied with what I have achieved. I could not play due to injury. Coach Pavlov was very angry with me and Okriashvili. I do not know why. Pavlov tells strange stories. He said we did not arrive from the national team. We were late only two days because of the tickets. Pavlov said he had not seen us after the national matches. Then, he changed his words: we were treating our injuries.
