20-year-old Georgian fencer Sandro Bazadze won European U-23 Championship which is under way in Tbilisi.

The mentioned tournament started at sport complex “Arena 1” and Arena 2” yesterday.

29 sportsmen participated in men’s tournament. Georgia had 4 participants: Sandro Bazadze, Mikheil Mardaleishvili, Saba Sulamanidze and Luka Oboladze.

Bazadze won gold medal. Mardaleishvili took the 9^th place, Sulamanidze – the 16^th and Oboladze – the 24^th.

Georgia had four participants in women’s tournament. Their results are: 23. Maria Zakirchenko; 24. Nitsa Iagorashvili; 26. Kristine Mikadze; 30. Ana Bibichadze’
