"Rostov" Protested the Play of Grigalashvili

After the play-off match between “Rostov” and “SKA-Energiya” (2:0), Alexander Shikunov, vice-president of “Rostov”, stated that they protested the play of Georgian midfielder Shota Grigalashvili.

According to the regulations of Russian Football Union and FIFA, football player is not allowed to play for three clubs in one season. Grigalashvili started the season in “Dila” Gori and played only at Europa League. Then, he played for “Alania” Vladikavkaz and now – for “SKA-Energiya”. There were talks that the club would not play in play-off or Shota would not play against “Rostov”. But he showed up at the first minutes.

“We are preparing the protest. Everybody knows the reason. Shota Grigalashvili played in “SKA-Energiya” and he did not have a right to do it. We will send letters to the Russian Football Union and Professional League” – Shikunov told “Sport-Express”.

The second match of these clubs will be held on June 3. Appeals are to be discussed on June 5.
