The Georgian freestyle wrestling team won 2 gold, 1 silver and 5 bronze medals at the Stepan Sargisian tournament and took the second place.
Today Vladimer Khinchegashvili (60kg), Giorgi Sanidze (74kg) and Zurab Akhobadze (96kg) won bronze medals.
In semifinal Khinchegashvili lost to Besik Kudukhov of Russia. Sanodze lost to Jordan Burroughs of America. The American won the Armenian tournament.
In repechage final of 96kg Akhobadze defeated teammate Omar Gusoshvili and took the 5th place. Davit Kerashvili also took the 5th place in this weight category.
The Sargisian Memorial was the last tournament for the Georgian freestyle wrestlers in the preparation plan of World Championship. The main tournament of the season will take place in Budapest on 16-22 September. Before that the Georgian team will hold two meetings.
