18-Year-Old Georgian Defender Trains in "PAOK"

18-year-old Georgian central defender, Aleko Chakvetadze, trains in “PAOK” Thessaloniki. He was under observation in “PAOK” several months ago and Huub Stevens, head coach of “PAOK”, liked him. And this time he was called up again.

“The Georgian made a good impression and there is enough prospects to sign professional contract with him. He is a member of “Metalurg” Rustavi and plays in Georgian U-19 team” – reports Greek Novasports.

Chakvetadze played in U-17 team, coached by Vasil Maisuradze, and he also scored at the final minute against Spain – this was last year, at “Caspian Cup” in Baku.

“PAOK” does not need to be presented: the team took the 2nd place last season and is in the same position in the current Championship too. The club of Thessaloniki plays in the group stage of Europe League.
