Pachesas:" The Match between Lithuania-Georgia will be Interesting"

Tonight in Tallinn at 18:00 local time (19:00 Tbilisi time ) in the most beautiful Palace "Saku Suurhall" the youth national team of Georgia on basketball will play a match against the national teams U-20 with the leader of group A and the champion of Europe of 2012 - team of Lithuania. Lithuanians won the first two matches of a group stage of the present championship: against Serbia with the score 68:64 and against Germany - 74:62. The national team of Georgia while played one match - on July 9 our team lost to Germany 75:89 though it should be noted that the Georgian basketball players fought up to the end, trying to break a meeting course.

The match Georgia-Germany was watched also by the head coach of the national team of Lithuania Thomas Pachesas. He knew that in the national team of Georgia there is no leader and the captain (Beka Burjanadze misses the championship because of a trauma). Pachesas noted that in a match with Germany the national team of Georgia played "selflessly and fought up to the end". He told that as the favourite of group considers the national team of Serbia, according to him, "for many there is a riddle a Greek national team". Pachesas called Serbia favorite, but Lithuania has already won both Serbia, and Germany, became the leader of group and the gratitude of the admirers deserved. In case of a victory over Georgia, Lithuania will ahead of schedule get to number of 12 best teams that will continue fight for superiority medals. The championship will come to the end on July 21.

And the national team of Georgia prepared these days for a match with Lithuania. Yesterday the author of these lines visited Meriton hotel where players are living and trainers of all 20 participating national teams including team of Georgia. From communication with trainers and players of our team it became clear that children will do their best. It is expected that the national team of Georgia in this match from tribunes will be supported by group of our compatriots living in Tallinn.
