“Wit Georgia” held the last rounds of the championship well. Goalkeeper Nika Daushvili played his role in this success.

“World Sport” contacted the 23-year-old Daushvili:

- Are you satisfied with your play in the previous round?

- I played in all matches. I am not dissatisfied. As for the team play, we started well. We defeated “Dila” Gori and held some good matches but could not get in Top 6. We tried to keep place in Supreme League. Some people thought we would leave Supreme League but we won 4 matches in the last 5 rounds.

- Which match was the best?

- The match against “Dinamo” Tbilisi (1:1). Also, the match when we beat “Dila” Gori.

- However, you have played better before…

- It was against “Sioni” in 2011-2012. I really played well then. The match ended up 0:0 and I parried some tough shots.

- What are your advantages and disadvantages as a goalkeeper?

- I think my advantage is playing with foot. I am working on my negative sides. Our goalkeepers’ coach Levan Abashidze is a professional.

- “Wit Georgia” is not going to fall into pieces but it is not in good financial situation. Did the managers of the club talk to you what would happen in the next season?

- Yes, the meeting was held and it was said that they are expecting finances from the state. “Wit Georgia” is 2-time champion of Georgia. The club competed in international tournaments and hopefully, it will play well again too. It is very pity that the clubs are in such situation in Georgia.

- Like all other football players, your goal is to get in the national team…

- Of course. It is early but it is my goal. Levan Abashidze told me the coaching staff of the national team is interested in me. I must improve playing and hopefully, my work will be appreciated.

- Who do you consider as the best goalkeeper at the Georgian Championship?

- I think Giorgi Loria is the best not only in Georgia but Loria is one of the best in Europe too. There are some other good goalkeepers: Roin Kvaskhadze, Omar Migineishvili… I like goalkeeper of “Gagra” Begashvili. We have a good generation of goalkeepers.

- Who is the best forward?

- I think Xisco is the best. Also, Jaba Dvali and Besik Chimakadze.
