Levan Kobiashvili responded to the recent developments in the Georgian football. He made a statement to the “World Sport” and called countered sides to calm down. He says that there already is a lot of problems in the football and this is added also.

Levan Kobiashvili: “In recent days, only controversy and abuses are heard. I ask everybody to calm down and talk as humans. We are tired and the people too... for me, despite the fact that I played for the team 2 years ago, it is difficult to hear all this. There is a limit to everything and we overstep this limit.

... It is our fault that the Georgian football is in such situation and it is not nice to blame each other. Let’s be self-critical and relax aggression. It seems, that people are separated into groups in football and there is an aggression and hatred against the people who have opposite opinions.

... Let them respect veterans, who brought the Georgian football till here. They brought so much joy, made us love football and we have no right to ruin everything. What do we say to the young generation? Or to the children? On whose example they should grow up?

... I do not want to watch even TV. 24 hours is going to offend each other. Against the journalist, players, coaches. People aware of the football know, whose or what’s fault is everything, but I would not start to defend none of them. I call them to act in the interests of the Georgian football and not in personal way.

... It is a shame! Find a common language with people. Federation should have more responsibility. At first, it was announced that there would be a meeting with the team’s coach in November to discuss future plans. It occurred , that there was not a talk and now said that it will be in December. Then, the leadership of the federation come out and say that they are satisfied with the work of the coach. But with this they say that they have questions to Ketsbaia.  And Ketsbaia says that he was in the federation these day and nobody told him anything. Perhaps, they calm down.

... I ask the federation to settle this problem. May be they can try to connect these divided sides. They must sit down and discuss all the problems, let there be a question-answer mode, and find the right way”.
