- First of all, we would like to know why you came in Baku? How did you happen to be on this game?
- I came here to my friend, and more precisely to Aleksandre Iashvili. It is a long time that we are friends. We played for “Dinamo” Tbilisi together, then for “Freiburg” Germany. And we played also for the national team of Georgia for a long time. We are like brothers. Now there is a little pause in the Championship and the team has 3-day holiday. I decided to spend this holiday with my friend. We often visited each other when we played for different clubs in Germany.
- What impressions does Baku made on you?
- Last time I was in Baku 10 years ago. Honestly, I really liked the changes that have occurred in your city during this time. The city became very beautiful and there are a lot of interesting places. I liked the changes in the football too. There are many stadiums in Baku, there are also many competitive teams, which contributes the development of the Championship. It is good that such conditions are created in Azerbaijan.
- What do you know about the Azerbaijan football? Maybe Aleksandre Iashvili told you something?
- To be honest, I do not have a lot of information about the team of Azerbaijan, but I know something about your Championship. Through the internet I managed to look through the game of “Inter”. I try to watch the game of Iashvili. “Inter” is coached by Kakha Tskhadadz, to whom I have a friendly relations too. I know some other players of the team. I am a fan of “Inter” and wish them success in this current season.
- How your things are going in “Hertha” Berlin?
- Not bad. After completing this season, my contract with “Hertha” expires, but I am completely devoted to this team.
- May be after the expiration of your contract you will join Aleksandre Iashvili…
- I do not know (laughs). I have not thought about it yet. As I have already said, I am thinking only about “Hertha” now and I do not know what happens next.
