Lado Dvalishvili stably plays for foreign football countries for the last 5 years. He often scored goals in Poland and Israel. Now Dvalishvili is in Tbilisi on holidays and “World Sport” talked to him:

- When do your holidays finish?

- I am departing on January 3. First we have meeting in Turkey and then in Spain.

- Sum up the first circle of the Polish Championship. How was it for you?

- Not very good and not bad. It could have been better. I scored 11 goals: 9 at the championship and 2 at Champions League.

- “Legia” Warsaw made through to play-off of Champions League by your goal and it was strange when head coach did you let you play against “Steaua” in the decisive match. Why?

- Yes, it was strange. I did not have conflict with the coach.

- Why did you miss other 5-6 matches?

- Sometimes I had injury, sometimes the coach made rotation. “Legia” was playing at Europa League and he did not want the players to be tired.

- However, Jan Urban was replaced by Henning Berg of Norway. Do you know him?

- No, I have not met him yet.

- There is football boom in Poland. What caused it?

- “Legia” is a very popular club. 90 per cent of Warsaw supports us. People love football and they buy tickets.

- Are the clubs financed by the government in Poland?

- I do not know. I have not heard it.

- You played “Jagiellonia” of Giorgi Popkhadze and Nika Dzalamidze. How did they play?

- They were the best. Popkhadze was active in offence. Dzalamidze also caused problems for us. I did not play in that match. “Legia” won 3:1. Dzalamidze is injured now. He held 4-5 matches perfectly.

- The Georgian football players have good press in Poland. Is it felt from the fans too?

- Yes, none of the Georgian football players have even been showed up badly.

- Last year you were close to becoming a top scorer. Perhaps, it is your goal now.

- I want it very much and let us see. I will do my best. I am two goals behind and I have chance.

- Do not you have offers from other clubs?

- I have 1.5-year contract with “Legia”. If I have offers from stronger clubs, why not, I will think about it. I feel good in “Legia”. I had offers from Russia but I prefer playing for such club which fights for higher goals.

- 24 teams will play at Euro 2016. Can the Georgian national team fight for this tournament?

- I think it can. We will do our best. Nothing is impossible.

- What do you wish to yourself and Georgia for New Year?

- I wish to win the Polish Championship again and to become a top scorer. I wish the Georgian national team to start the qualifying round successfully and to score goals. I want Georgia to shine. I want to see smile on people’s faces.
