Klaus Toppmoller, former German football player and coach of the Georgian national team, is going to arrive in Westerlo on May 26. He will attend the match of the Georgian and Scottish teams. A reliable source informed us with this information in Antwerp where all four teams of the elite round (Georgia, England, Scotland, Belgium) are staying at “Ramada Plaza”. According to the source, the 61-year-old Toppmoller will attend the Georgia-Scotland match and is going to return to Germany on Sunday evening. Toppmoller has been coach of the Georgian national team from January 2006 to March 2008.
It is worth mentioning that some managers and football agents from Belgium, Holland, Georgia and Lithuanian football player and coach Valdas Ivanauskas attended the Georgia-England match in Bornem on May 24. Giorgi Gakhokidze, former football player of the Georgian national team, “PSV-Eindhoven” and “Twente”, and Gia Chincharauli, former forward of “Dinamo” Tbilisi and the Soviet Union team, also were on the tribune.
The Georgian national team needs victory over Scotland on May 26. This match is expected to be attended by more people than in Bornem on May 24. It is Sunday and people have free time.
Hopefully, more fans will come and support the Georgian national team. The match will start at 15:00 Belgium time (17:00 Tbilisi time) on “KFC Oostterzonen” stadium.
