Khubutia will Play for "Hoverla"

Ukrainian TV channel “Football 1” reports that Akaki Khubutia, central defender of the Georgian national team, will continue his career in Ukrainian “Hoverla”.

Alexander Shufrych, vice president of the Ukrainian club, confirmed the transfer of 28-year-old Georgian to “Hoverla”:

“It’s always pleasant when you invite the current player of the national team. Khubutia played for 90 minutes in the match against Ireland. That’s why, “Hoverla” strengthened by his arrival. I hope, this transfer will impact positively on our results”, - said Shufrych.

For the last year and a half Khubutia played for “Mordovia” Saransk, after leaving this team he joined “Hapoel”, but due to the Israeli side’s failure to comply the terms of the contract he broke the contract with the club.

Besides the mentioned teams, he has also played for Belarusian “Zvezda-BGU”, Lithuanian “Kaunas” and “Silute”, Romanian “Gaz-Metan” and Turkish “Samsunspor”. He played 17 matches for the Georgian national team.

After 7 rounds, “Hoverla” has 4 points and is in the 12th place among 14 teams.
