In the second round of Europa League group stage “Dnipro” Dnipropetrovsk of Jaba Kankava and Aleksandre Kobakhidze lost to “Fiorentina” Florence 1:2.
Kankava was in lineup and played till the end. Kobakhidze was on the list but did not play. Gonzalo Rodriguez scored penalty at the 53rd minute. After four minutes Yevhen Seleznyov restored balance by penalty. At the 73rd minute Ambrosini scored goal. At the 86th minute Pizarro, captain of “Fiorentina”, was sent off after receiving the second yellow card. However, “Dnipro” could not save point. The club has 3 points and is in the 2nd place.
“Legia” Warsaw of Vladimer Dvalishvili lost to “Apollon” of Cyprus 0:1. Before the match the Georgian forward and Jan Urban, head coach of the team, stated they would have won but the Polish club has no point and is in the last place.
Dvalishvili played for 90 minutes. “Legia” was scored goal at the 56th minute. By the way, Sangoy could not use penalty at the 24th minute.
“Rubin” Kazan of Solomon Kvirkvelia defeated “Zulte Waregem” of Belgium 4:0. The young Georgian defender was not on the list. “Rubin” is leading the group with 6 points.
“Anzhi” Makhachkala of Gia Grigalava lost to “Tottenham” London 0:2. The Georgian defender was a substitute but did not play. “Anzhi” is in the third place with one point.
“Sheriff” Tiraspol of Vazha Tarkhnishvili played 1:1 with “Tromso”. Ondrasek scored goal at the 65th minute and Ricardinho – at the 87th minute. “Sheriff” is in the second place with 2 points.
