Dutch Heavy Knockout

Chivadze will Meet Journalists after the Match against Scotland

After the match, the press conference of the head coach of Georgian U-21 team was not held. Aleksandre Chivadze came in the hall and said: “I cannot say much. You know well, in what situation I am now. Let’s agree to this, after the match against Scotland, who are now in the hall let us gather and talk. Thank you for coming”.

The condition of Chivadze is understandable. Losing in such account on your own stadium, to say in the words of boxing, it is equal of a heavy knockout and some of the coaches just leave their posts. I will also say, that in the history of the Georgian youth team, they defeated only once in the qualifying round against Italian team in the middle of the 90s.

Before the start of qualifying, Netherlands was considered as a favorite of the group. After the game, the head coach of “Oranges” noted diplomatically, that the result do not reflect correlation of forces reality, but tablo is obstinate.

It was seen for the first minute, that Netherlands came to Tbilisi only for 3 points. At the beginning of the match, after the assist of Quinsy Promes, Stefano Denswill got the ball with his chest in the opponent penalty area and kicked by turning around from the acute corner – Giorgi Nadiradze did not allow the Dutch to score. At the 9th minute, Davit Skhirtladze lost the ball on his own field and Luce Castagnos oppressed Nika Kvekveskiri and Mamuka Kobakhidze, but after his kick Nadiradze saved the Georgians from the obvious goal. It should be said that Castaignos was the best player of this match. The “Nine” of Dutch besides hat-trick, made also two goal assists. At the 12th minute, Vako Kazaishvili took the ball from the center of the field and assisted to Ananidze, who was in the left wing. Jano went to the center and “cut” the ball inaccurately.

In a minute after this episode, Castaignos passed Kvekveskiri around, then passed around Archil Tvildiani and assisted the ball to Jan-Paul Boetius, who opened the score – 0:1.

A few minutes later, the hosts had a chance to equalize, but they could not use it. Skhirtladze undertook an attack and found Ananidze at the left wing, who abandoned Skhirtladze with a good assist to Warner Hanes, but goalkeeper of the guests neutralized his kick. At the 20th minute, Giorgi Chanturia got the ball near to the penalty area of their opponents and kicked masterfully – the upper log saved opponents from this goal.

At the 34th minute, Chanturia carried out the raid from the right wing diagonally, he passed three opponents and kicked inaccurately from the outside of the penalty area. At the 37th minute, after the activity of Papava and Skhirtladze, the Dutch defender lost the ball on his own half and Skhirtladze, who was in the penalty area of the guests, still kicked - Hahn had no problem. At the 43th minute, after the kick of Parunashvili from the middle distance, the ball found out to be over the goal.

At the final minute of the round, Davit Ubilava returned the ball from the left wing badly to Nadiradze and made Castaignos to face goalkeeper of the hosts – the Dutch, who went to the goal with the ball, neither Kvekveskiri nor Kobakhidze could prevent him.

In the 2nd half, the Georgian team completely collapsed and if the Dutch use all the goal moment, may be the score would be up to ten now.

At the 49th minute, Castaignos, who was at the right wing, kicked the ball almost from the corner line to the goal and after an obvious mistake of Nadiradze, the ball wrap up into the net from the side bar of the goal.

At the 55th minute, Chanturia made a free kick from the right wing, and the Dutch could not parry the ball tolerably – Hahn did not allow at first Kazaishvili to score from a close distance and then - Lasha Parunashvili.

At the 63th minute, after the attack of the Dutch, the defense of Georgian team “dropped” again and Toni De Vilhena could not use this.

At the 65th minute, Kvekveskiri decided to cheat Boetius, but he lost the ball and then he stopped his opponent in a violation of the rules, referee sent the captain of the Georgians off for the last hope penalty. Promise made a standard kick and left no chances to Nadiradze – 0:4.

At the 72th minute, the defense of the hosts once again made a mistake and after the assist of Gus Hupertsi, Castaignos faced Nadiradze, who assisted Promes, and he kicked exactly – 0:5.

At the 79th minute, Castaignos made the final score along with the hat-trick – 0:6.

Despite such account, the guests has not slow down the speed and they still had the opportunity to score more. At the 80th minute, the ball kicked by Promes hit the crossbar. At the 85th minute, after the assist of Promes, Nathan Ake could not score from the long distance. At the 86th minute,

Albert Stuivenberg (the head coach of Dutch U-21 football team): "Naturally, I am happy with the outcome. I thought it would be a very difficult game. I expected that Georgians would do everything to equalize. This score does not reflect the correlation of forces, because Georgian team has good players. I am happy being in Tbilisi, because everyone was well- disposed toward us. "
