Our readers know that worldsport.ge does not write about political issues. However, yesterday’s incident at the Baku stadium is an exception and it is a crime to avoid it!

We are not going to bother you with historical events.

We will simply tell you: yesterday’s action of some Georgian fans is against the interests of Georgia and only they know whether they did it consciously or not.

The Georgians know that Kakhi and Zaqatala historically belonged to Georgia but the abovementioned action is useless and it undermines friendship of two nations. Is it tough to guess who wants the confrontation between Georgia and Azerbaijan (especially today)?

We must know how to act. For example, how Mr. Tengiz Pachkoria does it. In many countries, including Russia, he showed everybody that Sokhumi is Georgia! His behavior is supported by internationally recognized borders, international community and some other important nuances.

Also, on October 15, 2013, the joint protest of the Georgian Football Federation and “Fans of Georgian Sport” in Russian occupied villages Dvani and Ditsi with slogan “Support Georgia” was really very important.

I witnessed how diligently was done everything.

So, such behavior of “Fans of Georgian Sport” is a little bit surprising. It is surprising and disappointing…

Our editorial staff (newspaper “World Sport” and news agency worldsport.ge) hopes that such actions (including the incident against “Bursa” of Turkey) will never be carried out by the Georgian fans, football players and any Georgian. We apply to the Georgian Football Federation and the Ministry of Sport and Youth Affairs of Georgia to take effective measures with football clubs.

Another such incident may cause great complications…
