Despite the defeat against “Rapid” in the first play-off match of UEFA Europe League in Austria Giorgi Devdariani, head coach of “Dila” Gori, believes that both teams have an equal chance of reaching the group stage. The press office of “Dila” reports this.

-”Dila” Gori was often losing the ball. What factors caused this?

Giorgi Devdariani: “Probably, it was caused by mine strategic mistake. In the first half we tried to play on counterattack and we specially gave the opponent the space. That’s why, we let those players to play, who were more focused on defense. We could not use the 100% chance and conversely got an own goal back. In the second half we had another plan, which was carried out”.

-How would you rate your today’s game and your chances in the second leg?

-The chances are 50/50 again. We expected that it would be difficult match and the strongest will be defined in Tbilisi. In the case of scoreless draw, we would be to score and we are facing the same challenge. It will be completely different match in Tbilisi.

-What would you say about the game?

Zoran Barisic: Players of “Dila” played well in defense and blocked all zones, but we controlled the game and the ball. In the second half we had some good moments, but we were unlucky. We have worked very hard, but failed to implement. One of the players got trauma, but nothing serious”.

- Can “Dila” play attacking football?

-When we gave our opponents space and time, it became clear that it could play well in attack. We have to perform a difficult task in Georgia. Even today we played attacking football but it turned out that we scored the only goal on the counter-attack.

- Were distant shots included in your plan?

- Of course it was included, we tried but we could not.
