Gia Geguchadze, head coach of “Torpedo” Kutaisi, told “World Sport” that the results of his team in the current season are logical.

- Are you satisfied with winning bronze medals?

- I will be satisfied when we become champions. This result is logical.

- So you could not have achieved more with the current squad?

- We took the third place last year too. “Torpedo” was different club last year. One year is not enough for establishing the team. I do not blame the football players.

- What did “Torpedo” lack to compete with “Dinamo” and “Dila”?

- I know the reasons. I do not want to start justifying myself but injuries of the football players prevented us from success. Sabanadze, Beriashvili, Grigalashvili, Bolkvadze, Shergelashvili and Oniani could not play against “Dila” due to injuries. So, we had to use reserve football players. We are building the team now and have some mistakes. We will try to improve them in the future.

- Are changes planned in the squad of “Torpedo” after the end of the season?

- Some changes are planned and the club is discussing it.

- Is it true about collaboration between “Torpedo” and “Lokomotive”?

- I cannot say anything because I do not know much about it. As I know, it is just a project. I will meet managers of the club and will find out more.

- Why did you lose to “Sioni” Bolnisi in ¼ final of Davit Kipiani Cup?

- I think our results are logical at the championship and Cup.

- Have you planned preparation period for the qualifying stage of Europa League?

- I gave the plan to the managers and I am waiting for their approval.
