Georgian Greco-Roman wrestling team started World Championship unsuccessfully. Today champion and prize winners were found out in 55 kg.

Bachana Putkaradze started participation from the second round and lost to Haithem Mahmoud of Egypt (0:8). The Egyptian could not make through to ¼ final and Putkaradze lost a chance of bronze medal.

Tomorrow champions and prize winners will be found out in 60, 84 and 96 kg. Revaz Lashkhi (60 kg), Giorgi Tsirekidze (84 kg) and Vasil Imerlishvili (96 kg) will wrestle in the name of Georgia.
