The day before yesterday “World Sport” wrote that Giorgi Popkhadze was transferring to “Jagiellonia” of Poland. He signed 2+1-year contract with the club which took the 10th place in Ekstraklasa but in this season it won both two matches.
Piotr Stokowiec coaches “Jagiellonia”. Last year he coached “Polonia” of Lado Dvalishvili. Nika Dzalamidze is one of the leaders of “Jagiellonia”. Dzalamidze has not played since February and perhaps, he will start practicing this month.
The 26-year-old Popkhadze played for “Tbilisi” Tbilisi, “Olympiacos” of Greece, “Viborg” of Denmark, “Zestafoni”, “Sturm” of Austria and “Baki” of Azerbaijan. Giorgi played for the Georgian national team against Denmark – 1:2.
