“Dila” Gori coached by Giorgi Devdariani held the third match in a row without being scored goal at the European tournaments. “Dila” won where some European clubs cannot do it because of “Torcida”. Time will pass and no one will remember young age of the “Hajduk” players but the history will tell that one Georgian club from small city defeated one of the most titled clubs of former Yugoslavia on its own stadium.
Giorgi Devdariani! He is the main hero of this victory. “Dila” did not have advantage against its opponent but it showed discipline, playing from offence to defense.
The only goal of the match was scored at the 24th minute. Kakha Aladashvili assisted Temur Gongadze who kicked the ball in penalty area and Giorgi Iluridze scored goal – 0:1.
At the end of the half the Croatians attacked: Andrijasevic kicked the ball and Otar Khizaneishvili parried it. Vrsajevic had a good chance of scoring goal… in short, “Dila” survived.
In the second half the Croatians attacked more. Nukri Revishvili parried some dangerous shots. At the 86th minute he parried headshot by Kis.
In spite of that Revishvili has not played in Russia for a long time, he is on good form.
At the 65th minute “Hajduk” was left with 10 players because Jozinovic received the second yellow card but after 7 minutes referee gave the second yellow card to Khizaneishvili and the clubs were left 10/10.
Lasha Gvalia played in center well. Aladashvili and Gongadze attacked from right wing.
Irakli Modebadze was injured and was not to play in this match. Irakli was not on good form but he did his best.
The Croatians played very roughly. These 18-22-year-old boys attempted to provoke the Georgians but “Dila” did not lose its patience for 90 minutes.
The second leg is ahead and nothing is decided yet.
