The managers of “Inter” Baku are not going to dismiss Georgian head coach Kakha Tskhadadze.
In Europa League II qualifying round, “Inter” beat “Elfsborg” of Sweden 1:0 away and lost 0:1 home. Finally, the Scandinavians won penalty shootout 4:3. After the match Tskhadadze made the following statement:
“Of course, it is a pity. We played better than the opponent. Referee prevented us from making through to the next round.
I am tired of bearing everything. So much stress, so much to worry about. I am going to resign. I will talk to the managers and if they satisfy my resignation, I will go. I want to have a progress. I want to work more, win more. For example, I want to play in the group of Europa League. I do not blame anybody for the failure. We were just unlucky”.
Georgi Nikolov, president of “Inter”, stated the following:
“I think Kakha was very emotional while stating it. He will not go anywhere. I do not agree on his decision. I think general sponsor of the club will not stop relationship with such specialist. “Inter” needs Tskhadadze and we will not let him go. We will meet and talk and hopefully, everything will be alright. I have never had any problem with him. We all do our job. The coaching staff is responsible for the selection. I as a president sign contracts. Kakha was just very disappointed due to the failure”.
