The Last Home Match of Georgian U-21 Team in the Euro-2015 Qualifying

Georgian U-21 team, coached by Aleksandre Chivadze, will hold the penultimate match of Euro 2015 qualifying against Luxemburg on Wednesday.

Future controversy will be held at the Tengiz Burjanadze stadium in Gori and will start at 14:00. The main referee will be Anatoly Vishnichenko of Kazakhstan. It should be also told that in the first match Georgians won over Luxemburg 3:0 on September 5, 2013. Davit Skhirtladze, Mamuka Kobakhidze and Giorgi Chanturia scored in this match.

Georgian team started preparation for the upcoming match on March 3, and on Tuesday practiced at the Mikheil Meskhi spare stadium. Chivadze realized a significant changes in the team for the match against Luxemburg and called up about 10 players. He explained this decision by saying that next year football players born in 1994 will play in the qualifying, which will give them a chance to show themselves against Luxemburg.

Goalkeepers: Giorgi Nadiradze (“Spartak”), Nika Shermadini (“Metalurgi” ), Kakhaber Meshveliani (“Zestafoni”).

Defenders: Archil Tvildiani (“Metalurgi”), Tedo Grigalashvili (“Zestafoni”), Nika Kvekveskiri, Luka Tatkhashvili (both “Dinamo”), Davit Ubilava, Nika Sandokhadze (both “Lokomotive”).

Midfielders: Avto Endeladze (“Zestafoni”), Giorgi Papava, Saba Lobzhanidze (both “Dinamo”), Lasha Parunashvili (“Spartak”), Jambul Jighauri, Besik Dekanoidze (both “Chikhura”), Nika Dzalamidze (“Jagiellonia”, Poland), Guram Samushia (“Zugdidi”).

Forwards: Nika Tarkashvili (“Antwerp”, Belgium), Giorgi Pantsulaia (“Zestafoni”), Bachana Arabuli (“Alcorcon”, Spain), Budu Zivzivadze (“Dinamo”).

Now, the Georgian team is in the 3rd place in the 3rd group, where Slovakia, Netherlands, Scotland and Luxemburg also take part. Slovaks are leading the group, with whom the Georgians lost the last home match 1:3 in Gori. Before the match with Luxemburg Chivadze said at the press conference that the team will play to win, in case of maintain the 3rd place in the group. The Georgian team will hold the last match in the qualifying against Netherlands on September 4, to whom the lost in Tbilisi 0:6.
