Arabidze Won in Moscow

Meri Arabidze (2374) won the student-grandmaster’s “closed” circuit tournament in Moscow.

In student-grandmaster’s tournament so-called Moscow Open-2014 participated 10 chess players of 6 countries.

Arabidze gained 6.5 points of 9 and was half point ahead of second placed Nafisa Muminova (Uzbekistan, 2301), Ukrainian Lisa Solovyova (2308) and Chinese Jue Vang (2386) shared III-IV places with 5.5 points.

It should be also said that Arabidze also gained 14 ranking points.

Another Georgian Nino Batsiashvili (2428) participated in the tournament.

Russian Olga Giria (2438) won the competition with 7.5 points of 9.

Unfortunately, Georgian chess player stayed beyond the top three.

Following participants are half point behind the winner and shared II-VIII places: 2. Darya Charochkina (Russia, 2359), 3. Bayra Kovanova (Russia, 2400), 4. Alina Kashlinskaya (Russia, 2433), 5. Anastasia Bodnaruk (Russia, 2452), 6. Ekaterina Atalik (Turkey, 2439), 7. Ekaterina Smirnova (Russia, 2095) and 8. Nino Batsiashvili (Georgia, 2428).
