The Georgian national team held the second round match of Euro 2016 qualification in Glasgow. Like the first match, the Georgians lost again.
The both teams found it hard to make good moments, especially the Georgians. The hosts played more actively and tried to make moments. At the 28th minute Shaun Maloney kicked the ball, Giorgi Loria parried it but it touched Akaki Khubutia who scored own goal. Nothing else happened in the first half.
In the second half Temur Ketsbaia decided to strengthen offence and replaced Davit Kvirkvelia by Tornike Okriashvili. Tornike tried a lot but in vain. Naismith and Steven Fletcher had good moments. During the whole match the Georgian national team did not kick the ball torward the target. However, we had a chance to equalize the score. Nikoloz Gelashvili had this chance but he missed the target. Irakli Dzaria could not use a very real moment. Giorgi Chanturia also played but this substition was useless too – 1:0 and the Georgian national team is in tough situation. “Crusaders” lost the second match.
Our team will hold the next match against Gibraltar on October 14.
