Georgian U-19 team coached by Vasil Maisuradze played a scoreless draw with Poland on the “Mikheil Meskhi” stadium.
The match turned out very rough. Referee gave 8 yellow and one red card to the players. The both teams had a chance to score goal.
At the 33rd minute Adrian Cierpka shot the ball from a short distance but missed it.
The Georgians had good moments. The Polish goalkeeper parried the shots of Jikia and Zarandia at the 67th and 75th minutes.
After the match Vasil Maisuradze made a comment for “World Sport”:
“It was a very rough match. Some players of Poland must have been sent off. We could have won the match but were not lucky. I gave chance to almost all players.
- Are two friendly matches against Poland enough for Euro qualifying round?
- No, they are not. The Georgian team needs more friendlies. Euro qualifying matches are ahead and we must get ready for it.
The Georgian U-19 team will hold the first round of Euro 2014 in Tbilisi. The tournament will be held on 13-18 November. Holland, Moldova and Wales will be opponents of Georgia. The first-second-placed teams will compete in elite round.
