Zurab Datunashvili Won Gold Medal in Serbia

The Georgian Greco-Roman wrestler Zurab Datunashvili is 2-time European champion. Last year he became champion in 75 kg and this year – in 80 kg.

Zurab Datunashvili beat Daniel Tihomirov Aleksandrov of Bulgaria 3:2, Petr Novak of Czech Republic 8:0, Adlan Akiev of Russia 2:1 and Radzik Kuliyeu of Belarus 4:2.

Champions and prize winners were also revealed in 71, 75 and 85 kg. Goga Apriamashvili (71 kg), Gela Bolkvadze (75 kg) and Robert Kobliashvili (85 kg) wrestled in the name of Georgia but all of them finished participating in the morning program.

Apriamashvili fell to Knut Zakarias Tallroth of Sweden 1:2. Bolkvadze defeated Florian Neumaier of Germany 3:2 but then lost to Tamas Lorincz of Hungary 1:2. Kobliashvili failed to Maksim Manukyan of Armenia 1:2.

The Georgian Greco-Roman wrestling team finished European Championship with three medals. Besides Zurab Datunashvili, Goga Gogiberashvili (66 kg) and Levan Arabuli (130 kg) climbed the pedestal. They won bronze medals.
