Jano Ananidze - The Best Georgian Football Player of 2016

Jano Ananidze, midfielder of “Spartak” Moscow and the Georgian national team, became the best player of 2016. The 24-year-old player won the survey of “World Sport” and website “WORLDSPORT.GE” with a great advantage –in total, 2879 people took part in our survey and almost half of the votes was won by Jano.

48.9 % voted for the attacker of “Spartak”. Tornike Okriashvili took the second place with 10 % and the third position was taken by Vako Gvilia with 7.4%.

In traditional survey also traditionally been nominated 22 players and the readers of our website were able to vote during a week.

By the version of “World Sport”, Jano Ananidze won the title of the best player for the second time. The first time was 7 years ago in 2009.

The reader of “World Sport” chooses the best Georgian football player since 2006. During this time, Giorgi Merebashvili won the title three times, Tornike Okriashvili and Jano Ananidze twice and once Levan Tskitishvili, Guram Kashia, Kakha Kaladze and Jaba Kankava. However, Kankava’s case was a little different – our editorial board granted him a title of the best player.
