Revaz Lashkhi, experienced member of the Georgian Greco-Roman wrestling team, champion of European Championship 2011 and silver medal winner of London Olympics, could not use the last chance of participating in Rio de Janeiro Olympics.
Lashkhi (59 kg) needed making through to final in the last license tournament which started in Istanbul today. The Georgian wrestler beat Singh Ravinder of India 8:0 but in 1/8 final he fell to David Thielke of America 6:15.
Other two members of the Georgian team are also wrestling on the Turkish mat. Robert Kobliashvili (85 kg) defeated Santiago Brandao of Brazil 8:0 and went through to ¼ final where he will face Laimutis Adomaitis of Lithuania. Heavyweight Iakob Kajaia won over Xenofon Koutsioumpas of Greece 8:0 and in ¼ final he will wrestle Radhouen Chebi of Tunisia.
