Guram Kashia, central defender of the Georgian national team, talked to journalists after victory over Gibraltar (4:0).
- Please, summarize today’s match.
- We possessed the ball. Perhaps, our coach saw many positive and negative aspects. It was a good match.
- What can you say about the upcoming match?
- It will be a tough match and we must learn a lot from it. This match will be a great experience for us. We have nothing to lose and we must fight till the end.
- What was positive and negative in the current qualifying round?
- I can summarize only last three matches positively. However, we played Poland well. I saw only positive in today’s match. We possessed the ball, had many moments and won a big score. We will hold the next match against Germany and we must fight till the end.
- Guram, we are very happy for your success in “Vitesse”. What is the Dutch club’s goal in the current season?
- The club’s goal is to play at European tournaments. We have top level players and we can do it.
- Are you going to leave “Vitesse” and play in other championship?
- I am not thinking about leaving “Vitesse”. I feel good in Arnhem. I have a good relationship with the club management and fans also love me.
I will only go to the club which plays at Champions or Europa Leagues. I do not have such suggestion yet. Unfortunately, such clubs are not often interested in the Georgians.
