Aleksandre Chivadze, head coach of the Georgian U-21 football team, held a pre-match press conference and talked about the team preparation.

According to Chivadze, some players are injured. Lukas Hufnagel, midfielder of “Freiburg”, could not arrive in Tbilisi. Besides that, Lasha Dvali arrived a few days ago. Giorgi Aburjania joined the team yesterday and he will practice today. Giorgi Papunashvili is injured. Giorgi Kharaishvili and Mate Kvirkvia also have some injuries. Otar Kakabadze is called up for the national team.

“Hufnagel has just transferred to “Freiburg”. The club is going to hold a meeting and wants to take Hufnagel. I had such experience in my career and I let him go. Hufnagel called me and said he wanted to come and will come next time” – stated Chivadze.

The coached stated his team will play only for victory but it will be a tough match against Spain.

The Georgian U-21 team will face Spain on October 7. The match will take place at Mikheil Meskhi stadium, at 21:00. The Georgian Public Broadcaster will broadcast live.
