Former President of the Georgian Football Federation Merab Zhordania confirmed that he will take part in the presidential elections.
As the regional correspondent of “InterPressNews” reports, the former president told this to journalists in Lanchkhuti Municipality.
Merab Zhordania has a meeting with Lanchkhuti Municipality Governor Zaza Urushadze and Guria Regional Federation’s president Kakha Ebralidze. The meeting undergoes without journalists.
Before the meeting, Merab Zhordania said journalists that he will start election process from Guria.
“I can only say I am going to take the post of the head of the GFF”, - said Zhordania.
Besides Zhordania, football player Levan Kobiashvili and GFF’s General Secretary Revaz Arveladze expressed their desire to take part in presidential elections.
GFF presidential elections will take place on October 3.
