The Georgian national team is in the 101st place in FIFA-Coca Cola ranking. It is in the 43rd place in Europe. The Georgians are ahead of 10 teams, including 3 post-Soviet ones: Latvia, Lithuania and Kazakhstan.
It is interesting to remember what was going on when Ketsbaia was appointed as a head coach. At the end of 2009 Georgia was the 122nd and the 47th in Europe. The team could not win matches. We lost to Bulgaria 2:6.
When Ketsbaia came to the team we had progress. At the end of 2010 Georgia was in the 72nd place in the ranking.
We finished 2011 in the 76th place. At the end of 2012 we were in the 72nd place. However, this year we have nothing to be proud of: the national team is in the 101st place.
“When I came to the team, it was buried in 10 meters depth” – states Ketsbaia and he is right but he says nothing that it was four years ago and the team has regress in the last period.
A new plan. It is important: it will be discussed by the federation and Ketsbaia in December. This plans means if Ketsbaia can bring success to the team after such regress and how he can do it.
Levan Kobiashvili said the right words – respect each other and think what we are doing and what we will do in the future. There are not discussion and question-answers, only insult and malicious talk.
Now it is time to sit at the table and talk about plans before it is too late.
