Akaki Gogia may be called up for the Georgia national football team. The 23-year-old football player will leave “Hallescher” after the end of the season. He told internet portal mz-web.de that the Georgian Football Federation contacted his mother.

On October 11 the Germany national team will host Georgia in Euro 2016 qualifying round. According to Gogia, he will be pleased to play for Georgia.

Gogia lives in Germany since 2001. He has not been in Georgia for the last 3-4 years. However, he often phones his relatives. Gogia noted he cannot write and read in Georgian. He speaks Georgian better than German but with accent.
