Georgian national team’s former captain Levan Kobiashvili, who works in the academy of “Hertha” Berlin and has contract with Germans until June 30, will return to homeland. The Georgian will fight for being a president of Georgian Football Federation.
“I want to be the president of Georgian Football Federation. I want to change and improve many things there. As soon as the election date will be announced, I will start preparation for the election campaign with my team. If all goes well, in summer I will get to Georgia. No one dismisses me and I am not trying to escape from “Hertha”. I just want to realize my goal”, - said Kobiashvili to internet portal bz-berlin.de.
Michael Preetz, manager of “Hertha”, said that Kobiashvili really leaves the club in summer, but if he will not implement his plan in Georgia, he is still expected in Berlin:
“Kobi” leads one of the structures of club’s youth academy and he revealed his intent to us. We fully support him. We taught to Levan such things that would be useful while working as the president of GFF. If everything goes well, he will leave “Hertha” this summer. If the planned do not come out, he will work with us again”.
In case of failure in the presidential elections, Kobiashvili also talked about supposed return to Berlin:
“No one knows what happens in future. If the planned do not come out, I will return to Berlin”.
