The State Audit Office of Georgia ascertained that there were spent 392400 GEL more than it was necessary for arranging stadiums in Georgia.
After when the Audit Office sent the relevant documentation to Georgian Football Federation, the governing body of Georgian football returned 369600 GEL to the budget.
The case is about the stadiums made in 2011-2012, when Lado Vardzelashvili led the Ministry of Sports and Youth Affairs.
“The State Audit Office of Georgia hold the financial and conformity audit of the Ministry of Sports and Youth Affairs 2011-2012 and 2013. The audit revealed a variety of violations, including the following: there are spent 392 400 GEL more than it was necessary for building stadiums in 2011-2012. It should be noted that the Football Federation returned 369 600 GEL in budget of overspent sums”, - reports the State Audit Office.
Whether the Audit Office appeals to relevant services about the financial violations, the Ministry will decide it later.
