The Georgian national futsal team qualified for Euro 2016 elite round. The team of Alik Sarkisyan beat Lithuania 8:2. In the second match Switzerland defeated Estonia 7:5.
Georgia and Switzerland earned 7-7 points but the Georgians took the first place.
Tikurashvili and Sebiskveradze scored brace from the Georgians. Lukava, Altunashvili, Maisaia and Jvarashvili scored one goal.
In the next round Georgia will play Portugal, Romania and Kazakhstan. The matches will be held on March 17-22. The first-place teams of 7 groups will make through to the main stage. The second-placed teams and the best third-placed will play in playoff on September 15-22. The 12th team of the final stage will be host Serbia. Euro 2016 will take place in Belgrade on February 2-13.
